Creating new hotkeys in Celestia (v 1.4)

Post #1by jeff@nasaames » 09.02.2006, 20:34

Is there a way to create new hotkeys in Celestia? I have created a couple of tours (or at least tried), but the only way I know to launch them is really obtrusive (you have to use dialog boxes, etc.). I want to create hotkeys for them, so I can launch them as transparently as possible.

Help...

Jeff,

CELX scripts can define key bindings.

See http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Celestia:A ... _with_CELX

p.s.
You might take a look at the postings in the Scripting Forum:

pps.

Another way to launch scripts is to have them in a directory window -- just click on their icons

Don't you have to select them and then press OK to get them to work? I thought doubleclicking didn't run them properly.

celx, cel script double-clicking should work, at least on OS X. Have you tried again on recent builds?
