Planet textures

Post #1by smurfburger » 09.12.2005, 03:53

Hi, I ran into a problem with Celestia textures. I looked at trhe venus textures, and they look red with volcanoes. I downloaded a texture that alos looked red, with volcanoes. For some reason, My venus is just a big yellowish ball. I will attach a picture. Does anyone know how to fix this, and make textures work? I've also downloaded bump maps for various planets, and they've done absolutely nothing. Thank you!

Press key "i" to disable clouds. ;)

What kind of graphics card do you have? Did you edit the solarsys.ssc to get the textures to load?

Dude, that is the cloud texture for Venus. LOL. There's nothing wrong with your Celestia just go into the Render / View Options / and "uncheck" the clouds box. To get the clouds back, recheck it. LOL. or press "i".
