Strange mars orbiter

Post #1by SittingDuck » 03.11.2005, 08:43

I just went to Mars the other day to inspect the new texture I downloaded for it, when i noticed somethign was orbiting inside!

I wen to moons and there was phobos and deimos and then a nameless slot. It said day length was 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000etc hours long.

I can't seem to find it anywhere in the date files. Help?
Do you think the physics books are bulletproof?

You probably have an older Addon that places an object on the surface. Pathfinder, maybe?

Referencing the object to an invisible un-moving moon is one of the older ways used to position such objects at a fixed position relative to the surface of a planet. The modern way is to use the LongLat directive, but that command is a relatively recent addition to Celestia.

Thanks selden, removing pathfinder removed the object too!
