texture adding on

[Spacetime]

I have been away for a long time but now i'm back and with a new
computer, Nvidia 6800. I want to experience Celestia the way i could
never before. I tried adding a mars texture, I added it to lores
but all i get is a pinkish Mars, and what is this DDS texture I can't
unzip it. (the texture I added is 2k png) Should I be using The DDS
textures instaed. Sorry for asking stupid questions
