Deep Space?

In the demo I saw that Celestia zoomed out of the Galaxy so that the complete picture with the Magellanic clouds were visible which was very cool.
I'd like to ask if it is planned to include in future versions "deep sky" objects or implements a "galaxy browser".

Hi xBlob,

there is a modified galaxies.dat from Paul in a previos post with 75 galaxies and 50 GC. Search for "galaxies.dat" in this forum.
A galaxiebrowser is a nice feature. I think, i heard about this and chris is eventually working on.

I added the galaxies, but it only seems to add a location to the galaxies, nothing about their shape, so you can only turn on the galaxy labels, but you will never see the galaxies itself. At least i didn't.

Hi Redfish,

have you checked "Galaxies" under Viewoptions/show. By me it works normal and all are visible.
