Newbie installation problem

Hi, I just grabbed the Debian celestia v 1.2.1 package and installed it on my Debian Woody, kernel 2.4.27 box using apt-get. During the install I lost my dial up connection a few times and I merely started it up again using the command "apt-get --fix-missing celsestia". Eventually I got a complete installation after several interruptions.

The first time I ran it the window appeared as per the man page Overview section. There it says that celestia will display a welcome message and some information about your target (top left corner), your speed, and the current time. On my installation the window appears appropriately filled with stars/planets but all the text in each of the four corners of the window is an unreadable collection of pipes, "||||| ||| ||" Upon cursory examination of the FAQs I found no reference to this sort of behavior. I'd appreciate any and all suggestions or comments on the this problem and/or its solution.

Thanks
Mike Ring

HI,
1.3.2 is the most recent version of Celestia. Please use this package and make sure to upgrade your video card drivers to the most recent version. Let us know if you still have trouble.

Cheers,
Joe
