The first step in becoming a computer program type person is to use the space bar to separate your senetences and the shift key to capitalize the first letter of each one. Syntax is ver important in programming. Seriously though, welcome to the Celestia community and we're glad you like it. if you want to find out more about how to create and use add-on please visit the links section of my site by clicking on the www at the bottom of my post.
Cheers,
Joe

Claude,
I'm sure you'll be glad to know, just in case you haven't realized it, that making objects for Celestia does not require a "computer program type person". However, you do have to be willing to learn how to use a 3D design program (to make the models) and a paint program (to give them colorful surfaces).

It doesn't appear in Celestia, because it doesn't appear in the Hipparcos star catalogue, which Celestia uses as its database.
You can find an add-on containing Sirius B at http://www.lns.cornell.edu/~seb/celestia/hutchison/nearstars.html
