About the Celestia 1.3.2 and its Geforce FX mode,of course it?s a failure to don?t have almost any improvement with this new mode of rendering.I understand that you want Celestia to be acessible for everyone, but it have to be any advantage to people that use GF FX,who has advanced shading procedures comparing to Geforce 4,for example.
I am a total newbe in celestia and its forums. I know nothing about programming lenguages, scripts and the rest. But from your message I see that you must know quite a few things about the new technologies that are incorporated in the latest graphic cards. So why don't YOU suggest Chris and the rest of the developers HOW to implement these new shading / rendering procedures into Celestia.
As far as I am concerned, Celestia is the BEST PIECE OF SOFTWARE EVER DEVELOPED. Even with no add-ons it looks great. And remember: IT IS FREE. Let's help those people who melt their eyes in front of their monitors to be able to offer this wonderful virtual universe by offering constructive criticism -not negative criticism. I should leave it here now. I think Mr. B. Hegwood has covered the topic perfectly. Sorry for my bad english.
