New moons of Jupiter

Post #1by bruckner » 17.05.2002, 18:18

I've published an add-on with orbital definitions for all newly discovered moons of Jupiter. You may want to check it out at http://bruckner.homelinux.net/addons.html. Suggestions are welcome...

Greetings.

Wow . . . that was quick :)

One suggestion though . . . Celestia uses / as a separator in 'paths' (e.g. Sol/Earth/Moon) It's likely that including them in an object name will confuse Celestia, though there's currently no check to reject names containing a slash. Perhaps the forward slash wasn't the best choice for a separator, as it seems to be common in designations for small moons and comets.

Yup, I already noticed...

Yes, I noticed that one... Those objects aren't selectable by pressing <ENTER> and typing their name. I'll just change all the names (eliminating the forward slash) in the following minutes.

And, yes, it was quick... That's the Open Source power!

"Use the Source, Luke"... Seems appropriate these days :P

Greetings
