Moonnormal map added and bump map removed,but...

I done what you recomend.Put the 4k NormalMap in Moon and removed the bumpmap. The Moon, now,is very beautiful. But a little after this,Celestia is crashing every 5 or 10 minutes.I don?t know what to do
I would like dds textures of all the planets,if possible. It appears that they occupy less RAM memory

What do you have Celestia doing when it crashes? Please describe it in as much detail as possible.

Does it crash when it has just been sitting there showing the Earth for a long time?

What other programs are running on your system?
(Exit from everything else and disconnect your computer from the network to make sure nothing else might be causing the crashes.)

If there's nothing else going on, your graphics card and/or CPU might be overheating. Celestia makes them both work a lot harder than most games do.

Most recent system boards and CPU chips now include temperature sensors, although Windows doesn't include any utility to monitor them. There are freeware programs that will display the CPU and board temperatures and fan speeds. I'd suggest downloading and using one of them.

If your motherboard temperature is over 40 degrees centigrade and the CPU is over 50 after Celestia has been running for a while, then you need to improve the cooling. Mine typically get up to about 35 and 45 after Celestia has been running for about 10 minutes. They're both about 32-33 when I'm running 2D programs like Word.

That must to be for an intel inside system... For AMD, it can get higher temperature !

On my side, I begin to work at 52° ! But I live in the "old Europa", where the temperature is very high at this moment...

Moon normal map and Celestia fixed

The problem was solved.I think the problem was I was using 1k or 2k texture, and this enter in conflict with moon4k.jpg and moonnormalmap4k.jpg.The texture in Moon is more accurate now, too.Anyway, thanks for the help.
And Celestia don?t crash anymore.
