Space Station orbits

Hello,

I'm a new Celestia user, and I'd like to start off by saying Wow! I'm really blown away by this fantastic program!

One thing I was curious about, are the space station orbits arbitrary, or do they actually reflect the position of their real life counterparts?

Thanks for the information!

Alan

No,

You will need to get an updated
satellite TLE file. Try here:

http://hometown.aol.com/mir16609/

and then edit the ISS section in
the solarsys.ssc file.

I then used the Jtrack site

http://liftoff.msfc.nasa.gov/realtime/j ... craft.html to confirm that the Celestia ISS was
in the correct orbit and position.

Looks really great with the higher-res earth16k.dss texture.

Get that here: ftp.dasmirnov.net

Good luck
