I have a problem with Uranus and Saturn. For some reason, these two planets don't appear normal in Celestia. I just installed it yesterday. The two planets that have rings are bugged. I don't understand why it does this.
Can anyone help? Here is an image of Saturn as seen on my installation of Celestia. Thank you.

Saturn problem
It is due to bugs in the OpenGL drivers for your graphics card. If you haven't already done so, upgrade to the most recent version.
(See the Users FAQ at the top of this forum: Q1/A1)
That won't do any good, though, if you have an ATI Radeon 8500 or 9000.
Exactly this problem has been reported often for them: just search the forum and you'll find many complaints. You're out of luck until ATI provides drivers that actually work for those models.
Or you might consider upgrading to a 9700 or 9800. Apparently the drivers for those cards are OK. Nvidia FX cards are fine, too (a 5200 is only about U.S. $80)
Added later: or you can comment out the Rings definitions in solarsys.ssc.
or type Control-V to switch to a "render path" that doesn't try to draw ring shadows.
Sorry.

Another easy solution for this problem is to desable the ring shadow in the render menu.
And if you could give a feed back to ATI peaple that would be great :
