Flashing Textures With Addons In New 1.3

Hi all, I have Win-Xp Pro Running a Radion 9700 Pro 128 DDR On a Athlon 2800 with 1 Gig of ram. Everything was fine until I installed the new 1.3 version, and started to install the addons, for example, the 2002 space oddyssy objects, and the mars space craft. They all exibit flashing textures. Are these downloads incompatible with 1.3? Thanks From Jim
