Wildcat VP990 Pro - monster grafic card for Celsestia ?

Hi all,

A friend told me from this grafic card. I don't know if and how Celestia works with this card.
These are the top features:

- 512 MB 256-bit DDR graphics memory
- full OpenGL Support
- High Performance Virtual Memory: The highly innovative 16GB virtual memory of Wildcat VP shatters the limitation of on-board memory by automatically handling huge datasets, while caching essential data for fastest access.

Maybe someone has enougth money to buy and test this card ;-).

Well, I found it listed on one Web site for only about $820.

The data sheet is rather vague on the OpenGL support: "OpenGL with shader extensions", "Prototype OpenGL v2.0 drivers on request" and only DirectX 8.1 support (for what that's worth).

I wondered how would Celestia work on powerful graphic workstations and professional graphic cards like 3D labs Oxygene or WildCat.

I thimk it should work very impressive. If only they have DDS compression support (or they already have?), where would it all go? :)

I would like one of them form my copy of Celestia... at least Celestia is free...

Just a Site which lists graphics cards in a very readable manner for anyone wishing to buy one.

It Seems a bit expensive compared to what selden found though!
