running ./configure

Post #1by walker » 22.04.2003, 07:11

hey, maybe someone can point me in the right direction for this problem. i run configure on celest and i get this report at the end of the config process:

checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.1.0) (library qt-mt) not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!

I have no idea on how to go about investigating this, and config.log file is thousands of lines long.

any suggestions?

thanks

I had the same problem using Mandrake 9.0, see my thread below and the answer of Christophe, If you use Mandrake distribution You should have Mandrake 9.1 ( I am presently downloading it on an other PC!).
If you use an other distribution I do not know which one has the good (3.01?) Qt and KDE package;

Yes, MB is right, you need to either upgrade to RedHat 9 or upgrade to KDE 3.1.

KDE 3.1.1 RPMS for RH 8.0 are available here.
