Star Trek in Celestia
Please use this thread to post Celestia screengrabs which show visuals in the Star Trek universe.

Re: Star Trek in Celestia
I never understood why the Enterprise-B and Lakota were not standard Excelsiors. Surely they could have found a way to create damage on the Enterprise-B using the original excelsior model without having to add those ugly side attachments.
Re: Star Trek in Celestia
Hi bdfd, an ask is obliged; how do you load all the ST models: altogether or one by one? What hell of system do you have: a workstation? Are you stolen an Essonne's Tera 100?
Never at rest.

Fenerit,
these ST models are just very LOW poly. I can load a thousand of them at once without problems on my 2009 Mac mini with just 4GB or ram.

Re: Star Trek in Celestia
It IS low poly ! I can see the polygons in your last pictures. Or the mesh is badly done.
It is obvious that these models are low res models. Not at my standard level anyway.
I'm used to much better than this : smooth curves and lots of details to zoom on.
Here's the only Star Trek model which is worth to be in my Celestia universe : the original TV show Enterprise.
No polygons are visible, even at very close range, not even around the round windows. And the textures are looking like real metal.

Sure enough. We know. And the administrators know (from me).
Here is the map: (wieczor + mousse + nemetonia(?) <=> bdfd + J.T.K. = ONE French speaking user)
Today fungun quoted the link where all these ship models reside. OK they seem to be in another format. But why do they have to be displayed here without download links being given??? This way it's not only boring, it's an amazing vaste of storage in shatters.net.

Then this represents an intentional effort to lower the Signal-to-Noise of this forum and a circumvention of a ban. Do the admins have an IP-ban ability?t00fri wrote:Here is the map: (wieczor + mousse + nemetonia(?) <=> bdfd + J.T.K. = ONE French speaking user)

Yes, IP addresses can be banned. But unfortunately the popular workaround consists in using proxies for the login, possibly residing in other countries. You can even use the stealthy add-on for firefox.

I call for a complete ban of that guy.
In the meanwhile, he's part again of my ignore list.
