@fridger
Sorry. The copyright on the music (Messe pour le temps pr?sent by Pierre Henry) prevents the video to be seen in Germany.
I had a message from youtube and curiosly Germany is the only country in this case.
Here is an expurgated version (without music sorry) especially for German people.

Hi Reiko and thank you for the addon.

The celxmaker is not on the motherlode but may be found in this forum in the scripting section:
Automatic recording of celx scripts
If you have any problem with it don't hesitate to ask in the scripting topic above

Take care.

Ehi, Jo?l, nice video! Just a question: could you script makers to be tied with the Bspline part of the Marsflug script to make smooth curve path?
Never at rest.

Hello,
I'm playing again with celxmaker.
This time it is a scene with the addon "Explorers on the Moon" by Lukr.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hg2Fe9ZOM7g
(Enjoy the video at 480p quality)

Fenerit wrote:Ehi, Jo?l, nice video! Just a question: could you script makers to be tied with the Bspline part of the Marsflug script to make smooth curve path?
It is probably possible but not so easy (at least for me).
This is although an interesting idea.
if I manage to do something with it, I'll discuss it in the script section.
However this video demonstrates that there are other ways to make smooth movements in a script.

By the way a new (minor) version of celxmaker is available

Merry Christmas to everybody. :D

That's what I get from that link. Is that because of Germany's attitude concerning the Euro?? ;-)

Fridger
:( I'm not amused. Germany often tends to exaggerate things.

Sometimes it seems to me that the german government dislike germans. Because they don't need grown citizens, but stupid consumers. :?

Pass' auf Michael, jedweder Politik talk ist eine "Todsuende" in diesem Forum. Selden kommt bestimmt gleich vorbei, es sei denn nicht-amerikanische P. wird hier nicht als Politik angesehen... ;-)

Hm, this time I was the one, who overdo something. I was thinking about it... and I came to the result; Yes, it is better to leave out political things. I have correct my previous post... (Was a bit too sharp-tongued) I'm sorry...

Fridger, Thanks again!

To understand why I was getting into such a rage and anger, please let me explain:

Not long ago I've had another trouble with "showing-video-on-YouTube". I wanted to demonstrate the atmospheric conditions on Pegasi/b as seen in the movie shown at the ZDF (TV channel). So I produced an eighteen seconds cut from the four-hour movie to upload this part to YouTube. For a permission I wrote a mail to ZDF and received a negative response.

Well, the joke is; ZDF is not entirely ad-supported; it is paid by the citizens of Germany (Now you must pay the TV tax ~240,-€ a year - whether you own a TV or not... ).

So much for this...

On the other hand, you all surely know, our lovable Mrs. M. is physicist. 8) And has interests in this regard, of course...

So, I wouldn't be very surprised if she - while she's sitting out another (any of many) problem behind her desk - would starts her Celestia software every free minutes; lookin' busy for add-ons and read the posts here at shatters.
Maybe even someday she'll become a member, too

Hm, er... M. a member... :?: :!: :?:   Or... is she already a member...? Hm, wait a few seconds; the outline of the silhouette of her hair looks like the iron helmet used by...

Oh, no, no, I shut up here. It's enough!

Finally yes! It is possible. :D
And not so difficult because the code was already written by Toti and Adirondack.

Through the interactive way to define the route in celxmaker, it is now incredibly easy to make a smooth curved path in a script without writing one line of code yourself or having to find the coordinates of the waypoints.

Here's an example that takes advantage of the beautiful Jestr's texture of the Earth. (And also some of mine.)
The Pyramids with the Sphinx is an addon of Cham.

Enjoy a journey on the most beautiful planet of the solar system.
(From south of Africa to Paris via Cairo and Rome)

The video quality is not as good as I wanted.
The result is far better and smooth in Celestia. Make your own scripts :!:

I suppose that while not explicitly implied, "Celestia videos" are typically Celestia-related, frequently made in Celestia. At least that's the precedent established by the other posts in this thread.
Current Setup:
Windows 7 64 bit. Celestia 1.6.0.

Here's my contribution. It's a little video that I put together using Celestia and Movie Maker. It shows a Martian orbital rotating momentum exchange tether (rotovator) accelerating a spaceship to beyond escape velocity and sending it to another part of the solar system. nyar

there is an add on for that
BUT it turns the star into a mini solar system all by it's self
adding an asteroid as the center and a few "planets" around it

I've added the solar flares and that looks nice.
The first movie Gremo posted presents a very realistic sun, the brightness, the solar rays, the camera effects, they look really nice. Was this effect added in the movie or is this also an add-on?

I'm guessing it was added in the movie. The lighting doesn't match the presumed location of the "sun" in either picture.
