Mandrake 9.0 and TI4200 video card

Getting ready to take the big plunge into Linux soon and have settled on Mandrake 9.0 based on my past experience with their distros.
I have been surfing looking for potential "gotchas" and there seems to be one concerning Mandrake 9.0 and a TI4200 video card.
Has anybody had this problem?
What did you do to solve it?
