Modified Sol system

Post #1by PlutonianEmpire » 09.01.2010, 03:41

How have you modified, or added to, our home Sol system, in your Celestia?

I have two versions of that Nibiru planet (my own and the Rob Sanders one), the Persephone planet I uploaded to the Motherlode, two or three fictional asteroids, one fictional comet, two versions of that "Vulcan" planet that supposedly orbits Sol closer than Mercury, two fictional Earth-like worlds, one of which I took from the 1930's novels "When Worlds Collide" and "After Worlds Collide", the other I made myself and who's orbit is highly inclined, an additional moon for the Earth, the rings around Earth (which is currently deactivated), my Second Sun addon (also deactivated), a copy of my Belle Hades planet in Earth's Lagrangian L4 point, a rogue gas giant that collides with Earth (inspired by the novels I mentioned above, not the exact planet from the novels), and a deactivated addon that was inspired by the movie "2010" (a sequel to the "2001: A Space Odyssey" movie), and a bunch of space ships and space stations owned and operated by the Plutonian Empire (the empire I wanted to create since I was in high school).

Object modifications are Mercury covered with solar panels, terraformed Venus, terraformed Luna, terraformed Mars, terraformed Titan, terraformed Pluto, terraformed Eris, and clouds for all the gas giants.

Yes, the numbers I used for the "pluto" asteroid and comet were taken from Star Trek (yes, I actually DO like star trek)

I haven't change the system itself except for new textures for Pluto and Charon. Everything else I've been doing is putting space stations and bases all over the place. :blue:

Colonized Mercury and Moon, terraformed Venus and Mars, A ring-like megastructure surrounding Earth, Dyson sphere for the Sun, moons around Mercury and Venus, Europa with uplifted octopus-like sapients, attempts to terraforme Pluto and many space colonies orbiting any planet and moon.

Bump, lava, Mie/Rayleigh atmosphere for Venus, Lunar Lambert for Mercury, Mars, and most moons, alternate texture and Mie/Rayleigh atmosphere for Jupiter, and M/R atmo for Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
