Then again, Alpha Centauri may not be the best place to go looking for habitable worlds. The amount of water available in the circumstellar discs was probably quite low as the outermost stable orbits are located quite close to the snowline around each component. If there was also a circumbinary disc then there could have been water there, but delivering it to planets orbiting the stars at velocities low enough for the water to be accreted is another matter.

I suspect that if there are terrestrial planets there, they will be very dry indeed.

I'm still trying to figure out how to send them to you via email because my email only lets me send 10mb files at a time. The station alone is about 34mb. :?

You're not understanding me. My email will not ALLOW me to send a file larger than 10mb. The space station you want is 33mb in size. Understand?

Anyways I sent the ships minus the station since they are much smaller files.

I understand you now, only 10 mb, maybe you should change your email?
Anyway, never mind! ships are better! 8)

P.S. Hey Reiko, this site what I send to you is better than I think. Listen, I mean read. You didn’t must write there your email or other things. Just send file….and wait when site will give you link where you can download your file. You didn’t must to use your email to do this, just select file on your computer then send. Then you give me this link.

Site will show you, First link (both red color) for downloading, second for deleting file.

I hope you understand what I write. :P

The station you can get on the motherlode in fungun's regula addon. http://www.celestiamotherlode.net/catal ... on_id=1341

All I did was cut the bottom of the station off to make it into Starbase 375.
Also I have many more ships if you want them. :blue:

Hello to the Celestia community!
I'm new to the forums but I've been using Celestia for the past 5+ years and I just wanted to contribute some of my art! :D
Here's my take on the Gliese 581 system. The names are taken from the original 4 "elements", fire, air, earth, and water.

This is nebula class, what a nice model, i don’t know like others but I very like this glowing windows and other parts, they make this ship looks more realistic. Send me this ship when he will be done, please.
I have now Sovereign class star ship on my pc, this is your USS Entrerpirse E, Reiko. THX!

Indeed, but this is Sovereign in space dock, together, in one model, not same spaceship, what I’m looking for. Now I have this beast. :D

Thanks Reiko for the kind words :)

One thing though that I must point out. I don't want to sound negative or discourage anyone, but...
Lots and lots of the models I have in my addons had to have permission from the author to use and to post for redistribution on a site other than the authors site.
I am just worried that if some of the authors see multiple addons with thier models in them and I am the only one that has thier permission, they may stop being so cooperative.
So if you get one of my addons and want to use one of the models in it to make your own addon make sure you read the readme file for that model and try to contact the author of the model to make sure it is ok for YOU to use it also.

Just a thought :D

As long as I am here, we had our usual 3 week layoff for the holiday season and I re-wrote/re-did 90% of my addons.
Gonna make Bob real busy here soon

I was looking at a planetary system I created while running celestia at an advanced time-rate, and I notice that a huge randomly generated asteroid is a Near Planet Object. Or at least very close to being one.
CloseEncounter3.png

In this pic, the object is 9.5 million miles from the habitable planet in the system.

Fortunately, their orbits don't intersect, and that is the closest the asteroid will ever get to the planet.

I've just discovered a terrain generator which uses Anim8or, my favourite modelling program;
Terranim8tor
here's a moon landscape I've made today, with a Celestia background and a Terranim8or foreground

Image

The program makes landscapes which can be imported into Anim8or to make nice scenes.

More details on Terranim8or here
