time is out by one hour

I am from Newcastle Australia and the time always seems to be one hour out and in GST instead of EDT. However, when I switch back to 1994 to watch the jupiter collision it changes to EDT time. Any ways to fix this.

Thankyou

Why do people constantly refrain from quoting their OS etc if they want help??

The point is, that time display is handled /separately/ in Windows, Linux-KDE, Linux-gtk, Mac-OS!
