Here is what I want to be able to do. I would like to use some of the preprogramed scipts of like flying through the planets...but instead of having the planets zoom up to the center of my monitor screen I would like to have the the planets zoom to the lower half of the screen. And maybe not get as big. Can anyone point me in the direction of how this might be done or where I could read up on this topic.
I am very new to Celestis and just begining to learn about this great resource.

There are steering keys in Celestia. During a script that takes you through the solar system, all you have to do is tap the [4], [6], [8] and [2] keys on the numeric keyboard while the script is playing. Your angle of flight past the planet will change.
There are ways to write scripts so that your flight past a planet does not aim at the planet but flies above or below it. If you are new to Celestia, you probably need to become familiar with the key commands before you try writing scripts.
