Would Sync to VBlank active get more than 60 fps if a monitor has been set with a refresh rate of, i.e 85 - 100 Hz? Or 60 fps is a Celestia limitation? Some LCD allows 100 Hz, so why one would set they at 60 Hz?

It just locks the frame rate to the screen refresh rate (if possible). So you can get 80 fps with an analog monitor, for example. Clearly you can get less
