Hi.

As you may know hosting for our site is provided by a non-profit organization fosshost.org. The other day they have sent an email in which they ask for donaitions because their current operational and emergency costs are higher than income they gain.

Here is the email:

We need donations so that we can continue to build and grow

Your support is required to keep the lights on. Please dig deep, donate, share, tweet, promote and raise awareness of Fosshost, examples include Tweets, Blog Posts, Vodcasts (Video Podcasts), raising awareness of our support to your project at local, national and international conferences (both online and offline) and any other creative or imaginative efforts that would positively promote our service to the wider community, and most importantly, our sponsors.

Believe it or not, we do have nominal monthly operational costs and emergency costs, and currently, our financial income does not cover these costs, leaving us in a deficit every month. I can confidently tell you that Directors (including myself) are personally pledging personal funds to protect and save Fosshost. This is not scalable and again, another reason, we ask for you to seriously consider donating to Fosshost. If you have any ideas or suggestions on how we can fundraise or obtaing grants, please contact me directly.

I'll donate ASAP.
I tried to do it right away but it needs a bank transfer. That takes a little while to set up, my bank needs to validate it.
I tried with the "buy us a coffee", so I bought them a few coffees but ... it only takes Paypal. I ain't got Paypal (lost it).

I'm unsure if this is still an issue, but donations to Fosshost will always be accepted and welcome.

They are always required as Fosshost is a small team but they provide support for many large projects.
