Hello, dear forum users.

In recent days, you may have seen problems accessing the forum. The reason for this is the attack on the forum, which is carried out through HTTP requests from IP addresses of China.
My server is connected to DDoS Guard, but protection works only for L1-L4 levels. The current attack is L7, so I had to connect the domain to CloudFlare.

At the moment, the attack on the forum is still ongoing, so Under Attack Mode is enabled on CloudFlare.
This may not be convenient for you, but otherwise I will have to turn off the forum.

Man, that makes me all the more convinced that China wants to take over everything in the world. They're already claiming the Spratly's and Benham Rise, both of which are closer to Philippine Territory, though the former is disputed between Vietnam and Taiwan as well. I also heard that they are conducting several mining and logging operations in Africa, controlling the Jade business in Myanmar, and have infected several international companies with their stockholders, resulting in those companies becoming Pro-China. All that for a concept of Middle Kingdom.

After integrating with CloudFlare, I noticed a problem with sessions and cookies on the forum, as well as displaying CloudFlare IP addresses instead of real users IP addresses.
I think I made the necessary changes to fix the problem.

Don't let the Chinese government take over Celestia. Refuse, resist! Also, I think Russia should think about which is more likely: the wealthy Europe or the emerging China is the real threat (Siberia has 36 million people versus China has 1.4 billion people).

This is why my earlier question concerning whether celestia itself is even the target.
State level attacks on small projects are very rare.

It is a common tactic to attack sites that share hosting with the real target though.
Often in advance of the real attack on the target in order to map or manipulate responses.

Well, Celestia has been used by NASA and the ESA.

Unless there is a fork that uses the google maps API to provide realtime earth textures, I doubt there is anything of interest to national level player within celestia.
Or has someone made an addon that tracks satellites, or perhaps the US's magic space plane their air force uses.
Whatever information there is on something so sensitive, is derivative.

And no texture I've seen in Celestia actually goes to the level of Google Earth or Maps.

I doubt anyone has a 65000K earth texture to offer.
I doubt even more that it would be close enough to real time to be of any interest.
Besides, other than google, who has enough storage for more than a few copies.
I doubt the drive array would fit in anything smaller than a four bedroom house, though six or eight seems more likely.

DDoS-attack was due to the topic "Spacecrafts for Celestia"... trust me, others topics not interesting too much for NASA and ESA, any other Space Agency, governments and websites who sells 3d models...
some time ago, before this DDoS-attack I could to enter Celestia forum but could not enter to my topic...
