Hi,
I try to add a new star in celestia 1.6.1 but none star and none error !
Do you know why ?
Here are the stc file (in same subdirectory with another stc files):
650098 "Z01:System_Z01"
{
RA 251.7099
Dec -45.933257
Distance 200.00
SpectralType "G2V"
Texture "gstar.*"
AbsMag 4.7
}
or same results with this another try :
3029652964 "Z01:System_Z01"
{
RA 251.7099
Dec -45.933257
Distance 200.00
SpectralType "G2V"
Texture "gstar.*"
AbsMag 4.7
}
Regards.

The problem is your minus sign. There seems to be a "modifier" character just in front of it which is not shown by the forum software.
Could it be that you are using a word processor (e.g. Word) instead of a text editor? Word processors replace some ASCII characters by the binary codes of "equivalent" printer's characters which Celestia can't interpret.
Below is a screengrab of what I see when I copy-and-paste your text into emacs. Note the vertical bar that has appeared in front of the minus sign.
