To redefine a star which is defined in the large stars.dat files available on the MotherLode, you have to specify its Hipparcos or Tyco number. For Tyco catalog numbers to be used in Celestia, you have to rearrange them. For details, see http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Celestia/S ... og_Numbers
