Hi to everyone. I'm new to celestia and new to this forum as well. First of all, great work lads, thanks.
Second, I have successfully installed Celestia 1.6.0, and according to User Guide, after right-clicking on a body I should see the "Reference Vectors" option, but it doesn't appear at all. Any suggestions about what could be happening?
Thanks in advance.

What object are you clicking on?
Celestia draws Reference Vectors only for SSC objects, not for Stars or DSC objects.
(I think it would be appropriate for them to be shown for Stars, though.)

I am right-clicking on SSC objects, like planets or spacecrafts... Reference Vectors option is definitely not shown.

Please provide an example. They work fine for me (They're actually called "Reference Marks" not "Reference Vectors" for historic reasons.)

Of course. Here I attach a screenshot of a right-click on planet Earth. Maybe I am mistaken, but I think it should appear here, according to the user guide.
Thanks again.

Nach80,
Unfortunately, it looks like you aren't running the standard Windows version of Celestia.
What operating system are you running, and where did you get the copy of Celestia that you're running?
It looks like whoever built it left out some options.
The screengrab below shows the Windows version of Celestia v1.6.0 (downloaded from SourceForge) running on Windows 7. At the right is Firefox showing your screengrab. As you can see, the Windows version of Celestia looks somewhat different, with more options both in its menu bar and in its RMB popup menu.

Thanks Selden for taking the time.
I just installed celestia in Ubuntu 10 using the well known apt-get install. As long as I can see, it is celestia 1.6.0.
But what's more interesting is that I also built celestia from source code and I see exactly the same...weid huh?

You are right, I'm on Ubuntu.
Now, it starts to make more sense. I will try all your suggestions and will post the results.
Thanks again for taking the time and trouble.

Ok, thanks for the all tips. I solved the problem uninstalling celestia-gnome and installing celestia-kde, using apt-get. Apparently all QT libraries were successfully installed too, no need for my intervention at all.
Thanks again.

Remember to also install celestia-common-nonfree or you will be missing lots of textures!
