Split Screen - no stars svn 5063 (New Stars & Orbits Render)

I have been using Guillermo Abramson's exe file version svn 5063. The star and orbit rendering are excellent.
Many thanks go to him for his kindness and help producing the Windows exe file.
Very much appreciated.
However, when I select Ctrl U or R the additional window has no stars. All other renderings are ok and pressing B renders the star names in the no stars window. Stars remain in the existing window. On deleting either window stars return.
This may only be an issue affecting my installation but I bring it to your attention in the hope that a solution may already exist.
My Celestia installation is 1.6.0. plus many extras and with the 5063. With svn 5038 in the same installation the rendering works ok in terms of the split screen issue.

I have a Sony laptop VPCF12C5E 6gb RAM nVIDEA GeForce GT 330M 1gb graphics supporting OpenGL 2.0.

David,

You are right, there are no stars in the second view. Stars reappear if you change to diffuse points or scaled discs. This is definitely a bug of the new renderer (which wasn't finished, according to Chris). I'll report it in the bugs forum once I build the latest SVN, and I'll check if Chris has a newer version of the star renderer.

Thanks,

Guillermo
