Where can i find tutorial or help on the new freature listed for 1.6 that allows you to display longitude and latitude lines on top of a a planet?

Unfortunately, I don't think Frank has updated the Users Guide on the MotherLode yet.
The new long/lat grid (and some other new options) are available in the right-mouse-button popup context menu.
In other words, click on the body of interest using the right-most mouse button.
(I think that's Ctrl-click with a one-button Mac mouse. If that's what you have, you should consider getting a cheap 3-button wheel mouse. They work fine on a Mac.)
In the popup menu
select Reference Vectors
select Planetographic Grid

The new Planetographic grid in Celestia 160 that is accessible with a right-click, is a nice grid but it has a lot of lines, and they are bright. It also does not include the Tropics of Cancer or Capricorn, or the Arctic or Antarctic circles. There is a simpler grid that is available as a free download, that displays a bit dimmer and does include the Tropic and Circle labels. You can get it from the Celestia motherlode addon site here: http://www.celestiamotherlode.net/creators/fsgregs/Lat-Long_grid.zip
Unzip it, put it into your extras folder, and to access it, open Celestia, right-click on Earth, choose "Alternate Surfaces", and choose "Grid Overlay".
After use, be sure to choose Alternate Surfaces again and choose "Normal", to return your normal Earth view.
