Export favorites file on a Mac

Hello - I'm new here. I think Celestia is brilliant. Is there a way to export the favourites ? I'm using Mac OS X.

Favorites' links are written within the favorites.cel file in the main Celestia root. You can copy/paste this file between machines, whether this is what you intend for "export".

thankyou but I cant seen to find that file- should it be in the folder with the program & resource folder in it?
There are other cel files in the resource folder : demo,start & guide & I can see the other scripts in the scripts folder but not favorites.

Sorry, at this point I stop myself, because my hint was based upon Windows system; probably Mac use different settings.

No sign of a favorites file then.
The only solution to this I have found is to cut & paste all my favorites on to a text file, but it seems a bit longhand.
I have read the 1.5.1 manual & scanned the forum, but I have a vague recollection (I was up late) I read that the favorites in a mac system is not a separate file but enclosed within the program file - is this true anyone?

Try this...
1. Add a new shortcut (anything will do), then close Celestia.
2. Then immediately search your system (or at least the Celestia folders) for files modified lets say within the last hour...(I assume you can do something similar to this in OS-X).
3. Sort the results in reverse chronological order.
The file that your favorites are stored in (if they are stored in a file at all) should appear near or at the top of the list, because it will be one of the most recently modified files (ie. it was just modified by the addition of a new item).
