Still no compass...

I have downloaded and zipped the compass folder into the extras folder, and removed the lua_edu_tools folder (into the Desktop).

After typing ctrl+G the surface of earth is shown, but alas no compass.

Vincent, I cannot see any reference to "lua-edu-tools" in the console window, and no reference to the folder "extras". There are some messages refering to "extras-standard", some messages about wrong file-type for images-files, and settings of creating ordinary textures...
