Re: Earth's moon with an atmosphere and seas?
Unfortunately I don't appear to have software that can handle the jp2 files, and I keep getting error messages when I try to open the img directory. In any case I'm pretty sure he's done something like this with a map shaded to make the dark areas blue and the light green, brown, etc. - I was hoping...

Re: Earth's moon with an atmosphere and seas?
It's a fantasy setting, not hard SF.

Earth's moon with an atmosphere and seas?
A friend is working on an RPG based on a version of Earth's moon with real seas and an atmosphere - I can't seem to find an add-on anywhere, but it'd definitely be a nice one to have!

Re: Using Celestia Images in Publications?
I forgot to post a link to the Weinbaum-inspired game that started this thread, which I put on line just before Christmas, a little later than planned. http://www.forgottenfutures.com/game/ff11/index.htm There are PDF and HTML versions, I think the PDF is prettier. There are six or seven Celestia im...

Re: Setting monitor pixel aspect ratio
I tried that, unfortunately no luck. It seems to be a limitation of the display, it just doesn't want to cope with any VGA signal that isn't in 4:3 aspect ratio, and unfortunately the computer doesn't have an HDMI output, which the monitor does understand. I can set the screen to 4:3, but that waste...

Setting monitor pixel aspect ratio
One of the computers I use is attached to a 40" widescreen TV, which for some reason doesn't support a 6:9 VGA mode - while the screen resolution is actually 1366 x 768, the best VGA mode it offers is 1024 x 768, which is usually stretched horizontally to 1366 wide - in this stretched mode circ...

Using Celestia Images in Publications?
Briefly, I may want to use some images generated by Celestia to illustrate a tabletop role playing game. The game material will be on line and can be downloaded freely, but users are asked to support the system by paying a registration fee. I'd like to make sure that using images for this purpose co...
