Re: Do you 'mod' other games?

haha... I'm modding Fate right now... I've just discovered it yesterday.. :) I used to mod fate... Nothing serious, though. One of my first projects was a crossbow which used the cat model. I was thinking that the arrow/bolt effect would come out of the cat's mouth. It didn't. It came out of the ot...

Re: Feasible solvents other than water?

I've been to that site, and I only found the most commonly used ones, so that's not much help. I read something interesting that could make for an extremely exotic biochemistry: at pressures of 96 atm, hydrogen cyanide (in theory) stays liquid over a fairly water-like range, so given earth-like temp...

Feasible solvents other than water?

I'm wondering what solvents other than water that could be used in a biochemistry existing at earth-like temperature? I'm interested in some of the more exotic alternative biochemistries speculated about. Any ideas?

Terrestrial Planet Texture Generator

I downloaded an old program for generating textures for terrestrial (in general, not just earth-like), but it had to be compiled. I have a c compiler, but it won't compile the program. Does anyone have compiled copy? (John Van Vilet uploaded it to the motherlode and porvided a link to it at one point)

Re: Gas Giant Textures?

I found a great program called Filter Forge. It's meant for creating filters for image-manipulating programs, and it's fairly powerful. I'm working on a filter for creating different types of gas giant textyres, and I'm oping it'll win me a free copy of the program (I've got the trial version right ...

First contact

When do you guys think first contact with another intelligent species will occur?

I honestly think it could happen within my lifetime. Don't call me crazy, I just think it's likely to happen

I have to get up at six in the morning, and I usually head out about a half-hour later. I suffer through t...

... I'm working on for GURPS Lite . In German that sounds a bit "inspiring" I must say. I am actually working on FART Lite  Fridger The GURPS I'm talking about is an acronym for "Generic Universal RolePlaying System". GURPS Lite is a free version which contains only the...

Star Generator Problems

I downloaded star generator 2.0 from this website: http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/2691/stargen.html There's one problem though, the website that hosts the qtinf70.dll file no longer exists. Re: Help Please?

I am unable to model things in blender, and even if I manage to (and that's a big if), I can't export it. Blender is a challenge alright. But if you did manage to (and that's a big if), why can't you export it? If my script doesn't work, you can always export to 3ds or waveobject. If you export to ...

Help Please?

I am unable to model things in blender, and even if I manage to (and that's a big if), I can't export it. I'm for someone to create 3d models of various spacecrafts, habitats, and spacestations for a (large) addon I'm working. If anyone's interested, I can provide descriptions of them. Help would be...

Re: Blender cmod export script (updated)

Just one question: Would I just be able to throw somehing together in blender and use the script without saving? Just curious. I'm not sure what you mean. If you create a model in Blender from scratch, you save it as a .blend file, right? This script doesn't change the blend file unless you change ...

The script doesn't work. Could you upload it as a seperate file?

And the inclination turned out be working fine... I guess I just made a mistake.

Really Bleeping annoying line + other problems

I've started using Celestia 1.60, and there's a red line that seems to be a reference point of some sort. I find it extremely bloody annoying. Is there ANY way to get rid of it?

Also, the Inclination declaration doesn't seem to be working for .ssc files.
