Re: Alternative surfaces with 1.7-Qt
Sorry, then. I've no problems with planetary VTs. Such behavior happen for thats conditions. But I've Xp and 1.6.1 not Qt 1.7. Do you have the rights to write onto files with Seven? Vista, Seven are unusable OSs unless you disassemble lots of services. I took rights to write, but no modification in...

Re: Alternative surfaces with 1.7-Qt
Nope!
I've just tried to change names -> same as before.
So it's a bug? or a feature to save memory?

Alternative surfaces with 1.7-Qt
First, sorry if the problem is known and answered elsewhere. I don't think so, but, well. First my computer (who knows, maybe the problems come from me, and is not a bug): - CoreQuad 2.6GHz - Mother board nVidia - Memory 8Go - CG ATI HD4850 512 Gold sample - Windows Seven 64 I'm using the Celestia 1...

Re: Celestia crashes when displaying spacecrafts
Massimo I never touch the configuration files. I carefully checked the dates at which the spacecraft should show up. Actually, selecting a spacecraft then using the "G" command, I clearly see a small white spot at the right place but then, approaching and when one should see the real stru...

Half star! (built 4903 for Windows)
I've found a problems with stars if I use the built 4903 (not done by me, I must admit, but by Cartrite). The problem is shown in another thread, you'll find below the links: http://www.shatters.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=12221&start=135#p119782 and http://www.shatters.net/forum/viewtopic...

Re: Ran III Released
I'd like to love this add-on (terrific work!) but I have problem with my Celestia (1.6, the distribution only). It crashes sometimes, but more than this, many planets look like the picture displayed below. And I don't think that's normal. I suppose that it's because of the new version is using Open-...

Re: Win32 Executable from SVN
Celestia SVN executables from Mr. Guillermo Abramson: http://cabfst28.cnea.gov.ar/~abramson/celestia/svnexec/ Due to a change of servers, my webpage has changed address. Find the binaries here: http://fisica.cab.cnea.gov.ar/estadistica/abramson/celestia/svnexec (updates every night). Guillermo This...

Re: The Feature Requests Collecting Thread
Thanks @Andy74. Next time I'll read the manual more precisely... Sorry. But too much keyboard's actions to learn... I'd like having 2 improvements, but before asking, I'll read all I can about the features of the soft... Edit 05/nov : Ok, I've read many documents, so one of my questions is...

Re: The Feature Requests Collecting Thread
Sorry if the request has been already done: - When a planet is selected, we can, by right-click, select the moons. - But when a moon is selected, we can't 'go back'. And sometimes the moon is far away from planet, so we must type the name of the planet to select it again... - It would be great to h...

Re: Asteroids scripted extraction from MPCORB.DAT
The links don't work anymore...
Someone has this archive somewhere
It would be great!
Except if they are in Celestia 1.6, but I don't think so.

Re: Compass for Celestia 1.6
Great job! I like it!
We can be "on" a planet and know where is the north, now...
I vote for this! (Maybe inside the next distribution?)

Re: Script-fu to create virtual textures.
Hi! Sorry for the delay again, but I'm working far away from home, and I don't have access to the net easily. I answer point by point to the last (and very interesting) post. What are the specifications of your graphics card? Type, memory? OS (e.g. Windows Vista) Just saying it's an ATI card is not ...

Re: Script-fu to create virtual textures.
Teto, have you checked for updates for your graphics card? Not with windows update but on the site of ATI. Sorry for the delay, but when I read the last post of t00fri, I've understood that this forum was not for a guy like me. Always someone to say that my script-fu sucks and things like: "Wh...

Re: Script-fu to create virtual textures.
I think you are mostly misunderstanding and your various allusions are completely unnecessary. I don't think I was unfriendly in any way. Hello t00fri. :) I think it was the end of the day and you were tired. No problem. I precisely coded the F-TexTools, since GIMP is definitely at it's limits for ...

Re: Script-fu to create virtual textures.
I am the author of the F-Tex tools (F = Fridger ;-) ). There is NO lossy format involved! You are NOT correct. Also my tools are memory optimized. I don't see how you could write script-fu's for >= 64k textures! My tools implement many more optimizations you don't even know of at this time... They ...

Script-fu to create virtual textures.
Hi! :) I'm a newbie in Celestia and add-on programs so forgive me if I'm writing stupid things... So I discovered Celestia last month and I loved it immediately. But I have a problem: My mother board (PC) is a Nvidia, and my graphic card is an ATI. So that's why I think that I had many problems with...
