Re: Black hole location
I found a list of known black holes on Wikipedia - are these all in the database?

Biggest star & coolest star
Apparently they've just found the biggest star in the Milky Way (they way the write that, I assume there are known bigger stars in other galaxies?). EDIT - found a list of largest stars on Wikipedia, so it looks like the biggest one known is indeed in the Milky Way. And completely unrelated finding ...

Re: Black hole location
Thanks for the reply - any idea when the next version (1.7? 2.0?) is due out?

Re: Black hole location
Is "X" the correct class for black holes? Or is there not one at the moment? Also, there are different types of black holes - don't they need subclasses? It's a bit difficult to use the star browser - you can't search for stars there (I can't find v404 Cygni in it). Maybe a search function...

Kepler discovers 5 new planets
Kepler's first finds - this is only from analysing part of Kepler's data, so I imagine there will be loads more in the future. The BBC article has a nice graphic showing the relative sizes of the five new planets. The more boring aspect is that they're all "hot jupiters", although one of t...

Different colour for orbit of dwarf planets
Is it possible for the orbit colour for dwarf planets to be a different colour than that for the main planets? The solar system looks pretty messy if they're both the same colour :) It would be nice to be easily able to distinguish between them. Perhaps a similar or slightly different shade of colou...

Black hole location
This article on Space.com talks about a black hole which they've now measured the location of.
Is it time to start including black holes in Celestia? (probably as a separate category like Stars)

Smallest earth-like planet to date
Smallest earth-like planet to date The newly discovered planet weighs about five Earth masses and is located 30 light-years from Earth. A planet of this mass is expected to be rocky rather than gaseous That mass means the planet is a "super-Earth," a category that includes planets with ma...
