Celestia pics & videos
Is there any chance that the topics "Celestia pics & videos" can be split away from "Celestia Users" to a seperate forum of their own?

Re: Win32 Executable from SVN
Guillermo,
Just checked with a standard 1.6.0 download with no addons or extras doesn't do this it would appear to me that a sun addon is causing the problem.

Re: Win32 Executable from SVN
Hi Guillermo,
Sorry 4880 was a mistake should have read 4890, further investigation I've found it's a combination of addons together with your svn 4898 and 4903 which are causing the other problems.

Re: Win32 Executable from SVN
Guillermo,
Appreciate your SVN I seem to have a problem when viewing the orbits of the planets and asteroids.
1. Pluto appears as a planet not the dwarf as in 1.6.0
2. Pluto's orbit in svn 4880 is broken and in 4903 is a strange shape, Ive eliminated any extras causing problems.

Hi Bob,
Fenerit hasn't changed anything regarding Helene, it is a minormoon according to the minormoons datafile and therefore would not appear when right clicking on Saturn

Help needed to see ISS when running scripts tried the addition as suggested "OrbitFrame { EquatorJ2000 { Center "Sol / Earth" }}" but now after script starts nothing but a black screen. Running CELESTIA 1.6 final or 1.6RC2 Can see ISS by just going directly to it an absolutely fa...

Re: V1.6 cel script from 1.5.1 not all working
Hi elbertdee,
I copied your script shown the most obivious thing missing are the { } at the start and finish of the script, I guess you may have just left them off as you should have got an error message.
With the brackets the script seems to run OK in the latest SVN4645 version I have

Textures in SVN's
I'm busy sorting out textures I've accumulated by using the hires/medres/lores to sort and decide on which textures to retain, I'm using 1.5.1 final and everything works fine using 'rR' keys I then change the exe file to SVN4432 everything still fine, then I changed to the latest SVN4645 from cartri...

Re: Nine New Ring Gap Names
Selden looking at the various planetary ring systems the least developed is Jupiter's, depending on which textures one look's at 2 that I'm aware putting the names to them doesn't really match. Saturn's new names are ok but fitting them so they are viewable is not easy, possible solution would perha...

Re: Quick extrasolar.ssc question
I've just downloaded both files, there seems to be a problem the HAT and WASP series are missing when typing in in the ENTER-name-ENTER-g. The previous versions show all the series except the one HAT and one WASP for which the update is made. I'm using svn6402 also checked the file contents unable t...

Frank,
An absolutely brilliant piece of work, the music really makes the difference.
I tried it with 1.6 but the error message do not recognise 'play' appeared commenting out then let it run.
Definetly run best with 1.5.1 ed

Hi Gemma, Welcome to Celestia, to help you sort your problem we really need to know more about your laptop and more specifically the graphics side. More often than not problems reside with the graphics driver software and the version used. What laptop do you have. Which version of Vista this can be ...

Re: Possible to view a galaxy hanging in the daytime sky?
I don't suppose putting the galaxy in the atmosphere would fix it... hmm.... Hungry is right its like using Paint or similar you bring the back layer to the front remove the black space which should leave stars galaxies etc visible. Using Celestia I'm not sure maybe someone with the software knowle...
