installing Blue Marble Next Generation 64K VT
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to install this earth version, and based on PC's capabilities is it even worth installing it? since its a 64k version and my PC is a couple of years old.

hmm something is strange when i click show orbits, NONE seem to be working anymore, i have been installing nebula, could i have done something to celestia to cause this!

im not sure what i did i tryed installing some other nebula and wala i read the nifty help on how to install nebula, i placed m1 in the extras folder and made sure they were set up celestia/extras/addons/m1_crab nebula

okay, I've downloaded m1 and installed it in the correct directory, but how do i find it? I've tried pressing enter and typing in M 1 or crab nebula but nothing it doesn't select anything. can anyone help

hi i had the same problem when i downoaded celestia! your graphics card does not support open gl simply prec control+v to change it to basic or multitextured.

Thats pretty rad but it seems to work better by turning automagnitude OFF, and turning up the magnitude to 15, though the galaxies them selves are not visible when Galaxy labels are turned on you see thousands of galaxies!

ROFL yeah it was off, mb fellas thanks for the help. is there anyway to make all the galaxies show? now that its turned on i can only see a few galaxies that are close to The Milky way m31 and others but as i travel away many galaxies become visible briefly and disapear again. i get the feeling this...

Neither of these suggestions helped make the Galaxies more visible, i still cannot see even the milkyway! [/] make the stars more visible, especially with automag off. but do nothing for the andromeda or the other 1000+ galaxies its cool to zoom out with auto mag off stars set a points and have the ...

GREAT! it appears that the problem is with running open GL, when i use BASIC or MULTITEXTURE the planets and moons appear fine. I uninstalled Celestia and found a couple of "left over files" deleted them and reinstalled, it no longer crashes when i reach the earth and pressing Control + V and settin...

I took the advice and updated my graphics drivers, but now celestia crashes when i reach the earth on start up! i may go the route and buy a cheep graphics card see if that helps.

i was recently introduced to Celestia through a friend, and decided to download it on to my own computer, I'm not a computer wiz but there seems to be a problem with Celestia, all of the plants "skins" are not attached to the planets and they distort as I move around, it a problem with my video set ...
