hmmm...i tried to use those scripts but both of them caused Celestia to not load properly. At first I thought it was because I used a simple math conversion for the ly to km on the second one. But i got the same results for both scripts unedited. first time using a script for celestia...i had the ex...

Is there a data base online somewhere that would allow me to brows the HIP and HD cataloges?
I want to be able to be centered around say any given star...and from that star filter out specifc star types.

Filtering stars to specfic spectral classes
Is this possible? I want to be able to see only certain classes of stars in the night sky. For example if I wanted to see an M3 I-II star I want to be able to filter out the night sky to only show stars in that category.
