Re: Possibly stupid question
A few modifications and it could be an amazing space sim! It would make learning a heck of alot more interesting If you could explore saturn and its moons from a cockpit! If I may here, WHAT the Hell is your problem? Celestia is already an amazing space simulator, and it has been since it was first...

Re: Possibly stupid question
Im a space sim junkie so maybee I can help. It is possible to fly around in celestia, but its probably not what your after. look in the controls file in the celestia main folder to see what keys do what. Using a joystick and a Nostromo N52, you can somewhat fly around, but theres no way to render an...

Thankyou sdudley. I dident realize changing the cfg values effected joysticks. All it mentioned was keys. I will give it a try when I get home tonight.

Possible joystick bug and a request
I have tested this on 4 different computers and 3 different joysticks. Im fairly sure its not a hardware issue. Here is whats happening. Plug in your joystick and give it a try. First, move your joystick to the right or down(down should move the screen up), but only move the joystick slightly. Doing...

Re: Help cannot replace Sol texture
After updating to 1.5, I too am now experiencing a strange spherical darkness at the center of the sun, the size of which changes depending on which angle you look at it from. I'm using Runar's "A portrait of our sun" add-on. I want to keep the add-on. What is going on? What should I do? It worked ...

Re: The Feature Requests Collecting Thread
Someone mentioned somthing simmilar a few posts up, but would be a nice feature to be able to resize and make some of the windows transparent. imagine having the starbrowser open while your exploring and being able to resize it, and have the window transparent where only the text and border show. An...

Re: The Feature Requests Collecting Thread
I have a couple requests Joystick improvements. Would be nice to have roll on joysticks with a twist handle. Currently you have to use the arrow keys, and there is only 1 speed. Someone else also mentioned this, but goto command is almost instant. Maybee a way to select the speed for it? Rather than...

Re: Question about clouds
What I am trying to do is is make 2 sets of clouds for jupiter, one turning one way, the other turning the oposite direction to give it kind of a stormy effect. I know its probably not realistic or accurate, but hey, it would look nice! Plus im having alot of fun learning how to do this stuff! My re...

Question about clouds
Kinda new to this, a couple questions. Is there a command to make clouds turn the oposite direction? Is it possible to have 2 cloud layers? Could someone give me an example of how it would look in the ssc? Ive been going through all the 9, er uh, 8 planets installing addons for each one, putting my ...

New here, couple questions
Hello everyone. First let me say Celestia is amazing! I find it hard to believe this is a free program. Hats off to the programers! A couple noob questions if you dont mind..... Is it possible to fly by an object, lets say a space station or satilite, and keep the view centered on the object while I...
