Showing moon orbit

Hello. I was going to post this in Bugs, but I don't think it's a bug... it's likely my computer. I don't recall this ever being a topic, but you folks will know better than I. I noticed something odd today in the display of the moon's orbit (enabled), a quirky little bend. The link below leads to t...

Re: Faster than light???????

Re: Could Pluto have a giant gash in it?

Sorry, I don't mean to stir the pot here, but... ageyer kept referring to HMIR as a " technique ". After reading this thread I was curious so I did some searching on Google, I could not find any such technique. What I do find is a High Temperature Midwave Infrared (HMIR) Camera Engine manu...

NGC 2442 / NGC 2443

When I view NGC 2442 I see two galaxies (Celestia v1.6.1). Is this a result of the catalogue listing the two arms of this galaxy separately? My guess is 'yes'. Anomaly/bug/annoyance?

I live in New Jersey, so far it's not too bad, a lot of rain. I just got back from the beach a short while ago, took some pictures.

Kepler A Murderer?

Let me start by noting that if this is not the appropriate place for this post/subject, moderator (Selden) please do move it. Hello all, it's been a long while, I hope everyone is well. It has come to my attention that there is a book, a theory based on fairly certain research, that almost all but p...

Re: Swine Flu

As to your liver enzymes: an elevated GammaGT (aka GGT) value often points to somewhat excessive alcohol habits ;-) But of course there may well be other causes for abnormalities of the liver data. LOL!... my doctor asked me if I 'drank'. I don't however, not even a drop , I cannot, it conflicts wi...

Re: Swine Flu

I guess it was inevitable, I got sick, but I'm not sure it was H1N1. I had light fever, aches in neck and shoulders with enlarged lymph glans, I could not swallow, and my chest was "gurgling". My throat was the worst, not being able to swallow, not even tea, it hurt so damned much. Whateve...
