Re: Celestia-ED
Some quick hints to build for Linux (all done in a console in the root of the source tree): Thanks! :D I'll try it and then will post something about it. Currently my linux box is taking sun baths to kill the fungus on the power unit 8O From what I've saw in the forum, Lua Edu Tools will replace pa...

And the cfg files, of course.

i.e. will Frank's activities run with Celestia Patch (minding that you would copy the script files for the activities)?

Re: Celestia-ED
As I wrote you in my last PM, Celestia-ED (~ Celestia-patch) is built upon the Celestia 1.4.1 official version, which was not localized yet for Windows. So the best way of getting a localized (~ translated) version of Celestia-ED would be to integrate all the patches into the current 1.5 official v...

I believe it belongs to both forums, and there may be people who only read one or the other. I didn't read the forum policy, if this is not permitted, please feel free to delete one of them, and accept my apologies.

Celestia-ED
Is it possible for anyone to compile Celestia-ED for windows with the new .po files available at http://celestia.teyssier.org/i18n/ ? I would if I knew how to. I would then send that version to Frank Gregorio. I really need this because I want to translate Frank's activities to Portuguese. I'm also ...

Re: Cassini over the blue top of Saturn
Here's what the Milky Way looks like in Celestia v1.5.0pre2. I don't think there's any need to fake it with some other galaxy...
WOW, very nice indeed. I only knew the rendering from 1.4, that's why I asked the previous question.

Lua Edu Tools and Celestia Patch 3
What are the differences between Lua Edu Tools and Celestia Patch 3? Is one based on the other?
I'd like to translate them both. I've already understood how to do it with Lua Edu Tools but I'm not sure about Patch 3.
Thanks in advance,
Jos?© Raeiro

Re: Translation en -> pt
Hi, I haven't had the time to test further in linux (the linux box is taking a sun bath to kill the fungus from the power unit 8O ). I'm trying to test drive the translation under windows but I haven't manage to start celestia in pt. I've installed the latest CVS from the link you gave me, I've unzi...

Celestia Website
Who's in charge of Celestia's website? I would like to make a portuguese version of it. Of course I could design one myself and host it. But the actual site is quite fine, so why the extra work?

Re: Translation en -> pt
Those entries are standard entries, they are already translated by KDE. All you have to do is install kde-i18n-pt. I have that package installed, latest version, still I get the said entries in english. How will the users be able to have the translated versions of the .cel scripts installed? When w...

Re: Translation en -> pt
Did that happen under Linux or Windows? Can you give examples of the menu entries that are not translated?
I only tested it under linux until now. For example almost the whole menu "Settings" is in English. Then there are things like "open" "quit" "view" and so forth.

Re: Translation en -> pt
Ok, have you been able to test the Windows version with the files I sent you?
I haven't received any...when did and from what address did you send them?
I sent you a couple of minutes ago the other files.

Re: Translation en -> pt
Ok, I'll try to talk with Chris (I've sent him several messages concerning the translation of the website but couldn't get any feedback). I've read somewhere that I could put the .po file online and then you could check it for changes from time to time. Is this possible? If it is you will be able to...

Re: Translation en -> pt
No, I haven't. At what address and what time did you send it? I've resent them just now from zeraeiro clixpt. Yes, the translation is selected from the system's language setting Imo there should be the option to choose the language as there is in various software. At least here in Portugal, there i...

Re: Translation en -> pt
Thanks for the how-to Christophe, I'm already test-driving the translation. I can't seem to find certain terms in the .pot file. Some menus are also not translated...will that be because of some subterms being marked fuzzy? I've sent to celestia i18n the translation of the constellations. Did you re...
