Sorry to beat this dead horse again.

If Celelestia A: Has Dual Monitor Support B: Multiple Windows Then C: How hard could it be to write a stereo projection mode for GeoWall Projection? This could be the ultimate 3-D astronomy projection experience. For those of you unfamiliar with geowall, it uses two LCD projectors onto a silverized ...

jestr mars selden tweak available fast download

http://exp.arc.nasa.gov/downloads/celestia/extras/

redmarsfolder.zip

this is the alternative texture 6meg layers 0-4 only - still blows the doors off 8k normal, and probably rivals 16k.

This is a fast link.

setsurface

I can't seem to get setsurface to work, i.e.

setsurface {name "BlueMarbleDDS"}

or setsurface {name "redmars"}

anyone get this to work? I am using 1.3.1 pre 11

Also I can; seem to get

renderflags {set "Clouds"} or clear clouds to work.

Clues???

Alternate Textures only one at a time?

I am running a script that goes to earth and mars. I'd like to use the
alternate resolution on both. However if I select alternate resolution for earth, mars gets set to normla and vice versa. Is there a way to select alternate texture from a script, or lock it in at start up?

Thanks

On the to do list?

I think adding an option on the right click information menu was for multiple URLs or even launching an external program. Don't know if this is still in the developer hopper list.

They still need some work, but the v2.3ds and mer-correct.3ds models are now up on the website (see previous post) Thanks to Dr. Love and all you others for helping out. Now if we can put the corrected model together with a superior alternative Mars texture .............

Would another format help? I have a dxf. Also if you can but up a fixed dish that would be great. You can mail it to me. Thanks A fellow names Firestein(?) gave that to us. He has a tool that converts pictures into models. He did the Viking as a demo.

Bookmark FOlders 1.3.1 p5-11

Using Windows 2000 and XP Bookmark folders don't work. I.e. After creating a folder and and using the "organize bookmarks" to drag an existing bookmark to the folder is apparently the same as dragging the existing bookmark to the trash. The bookmark is totally gone after exiting and resuming Celesti...

RE Different program

This is not a Celestia Addon - totally different program esigned to work in a web browser. Like I said it was commisioned before we know about Celestia. They derived their own 3ds model of the station, and then used a custom plugin to render the 3-d effects. NASA LT is not pursuing 3-d actively - bu...

MOLA/MOC

The source of the Data is Tim Sandstrom of NASA Ames - he is running a 7 by 7 linux cluster (49 Screens) that can show 140,000 by 140,000 pixels at one time. Tim did the mosaiking so the base images ar 40k by 20k pixiels I am pretty sure the Mola set is 64k data BUT it is unshaded so pretty valuable...

Alternative ISS model.

http://learn.arc.nasa.gov/exp/ And download or go to the viasim link. There is an interactive ISS in which you can add or subtract modules ---- ALSO the demo can be run in 3-d with shutter glasses or with red/blue anaglyph. NASA commisioned this before we knew about Celestia.

Using CVS

I am not stupid. I have tried WinCVS, Tortoise CVS and CVS 11.5 on windows and haven't had any luck doing an anonymous checkout. I can get it to work in Linux no sweat. I also have used other CVS sources to checkout in windows with no problem, Do you have automatic "bomb windows" filters in place? I...

Hey Paolo - what version of Visual Studio are you using?

The latest .net version seems a lot smarter so that the CVS for things like OpenSceneGraph almost compile on the first try.
