Aurora System (in development)
The Aurora system will be a big planetary system which depicts a (rather long!) list of planetary apocalypses and extreme scenarios. The project is in development and I won't tell you too much as most of the system should be a surprise when released. The final release date has not been defined yet, ...

Re: celcheck - a tool to check the syntax of .ssc, .stc, .dsc, .cel, ASCII .cmod, .cms (and new: .xyz and .xyzv) files v1.4
There should be an option to not check "multi-line object definitions/strings". Use the 1.2 version which is the same as v1.3, but without the multi-line check. v1.4 additionally supports .xyz(v) files, but it won't block your checks since there are no strings in .xyz(v) files anyway. Re-...

Christmas Tree 2023
This addon adds a Christmas tree to Celestia because in my country and some others Christmas is celebrated on 24/25 December and the days after that (the link is mainly for people who don't know what Christmas is, e.g. because it's not celebrated in their country). If you don't want a "Christma...

So, because I was curios on what would happen when I set the options in Celestia 1.7.0 sRGB's celestia.cfg file like the ones below: Screenshot (77180).png ..., I found out that this makes Celestia look really weird: Screenshot (77178).png Screenshot (77177).png Screenshot (77174).png Everything get...

This addon adds my Jupiter texture (click the link for more information about the texture) as an AltSurface to Celestia. Right-click Jupiter, select "Alternate surfaces" and choose "Jupiter (by EarthMoon)" from it.

Jupiter Texture by EarthMoon
So, because I was bored, I have created a 2k texture for Jupiter, based on an image by the Cassini-Huygens mission: Jupiter_by_Cassini-Huygens.jpg This is the texture (created with GIMP and a few edits with MS Paint ): JupiterEarthMoon.png Because the image only shows one side of Jupiter and it is a...

Re: How to access (secret) NASA resources
You have two options to edit the texture of the .cmod (I recommend the easier (2nd) one): The harder way: Open the file with a text editor and edit the material's texture0 properties (or add them if required), see https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Celestia/3D_Models/CMOD_File#Example_ASCII_CMOD_File (re...

Re: celcheck - a tool to check the syntax of .ssc, .stc, .dsc, .cel, ASCII .cmod, .cms (and new: .xyz and .xyzv) files v1.4
You could make a version with double line control and another without! The new 1.3 version already has this double line thing (strings [data enclosed in " "] can be even multi-line (2, 3, 4, ...), not only double line; parameters can also be multi-line: Name on one line, value on a later ...

Re: celcheck - a tool to check the syntax of .ssc, .stc, .dsc, .cel, ASCII .cmod, .cms (and new: .xyz and .xyzv) files v1.4
Your program does not recognize certain characters in the file name, for example "°", although celesia accepts them. "Celesia accepts them" yes. But what about the file system the addons gets installed on? Not all file systems support all characters, so I will let ° disallowed, ...
