Altering throttle controls in Celestia?
I was looking through the documentation and saw that things like the pitch speed can be altered in Celestia. What I'm wondering is if Celestia's reactions to the stop command ("s" on the keyboard), and decelerate command ("x" on the keyboard), can also be changed. My problem. By the time I'm moving ...

A warning....
Re-reading my post it occurs to me that I give the very strong impression that the X52 can be used right out of the box to do all the stuff I have it set up to do. THAT IS NOT THE CASE. The X 52 does absolutely NOTHING AT ALL right out of the box. After plugging it into an available USB port (which ...

Review: Saitek X52 stick/throttle control
First; full disclosure, I've got nuthin' whatsoever to do with the people that make or sell this joystick. Just found sumpthin' here that works well with Celestia, and thought I'd pass it on. Second, I make no claims about this being "the best thing to use". "Best" depends on what you feel you want ...

Need MAC version help BADLY
Ah the ecstasy and frustration of playing with a new toy. I'm running 1.4.1(0) on a Mac using OSX 10.4.7 (the latest version available). So far the ONLY keyboard shortcut I can get to work is COMMAND+L (Go to Object). Which is a neat function, but not particularly useful for learning your way around...

Tx Don!
Just checked it out at the Apple store, oooo, niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.
I'd still like a joystick, but for now, this'll do just fine. I'll have it on Monday.
Thanks bro;
Sincerely

Newbie comment - WOW
The only other 3D star map I've had experience with is the ancient Mac shareware program called "Orion". But this, wow. This really is stunning. For someone who lives just across the Hudson river from NYC, an area where "light pollution" takes on a WHOLE new meaning, this is just amazing. I'd still ...

Best Joystick 4 a Mac?
I'm using a Mac G4 laptop (a "Powerbook" ;-), running OSX 10.4.5 I've just installed Celestia 1.4.1 (0) I'd like to buy a joystick JUST FOR USE W/CELESTIA. I have absolutely ZERO interest in games or gaming. (No offense to those who are, it's just that games aren't my thing), so I don't really think...

Yaw control on Mac
I'm using a Mac G4 laptop running OSX version 10.4.5 I've just installed Celestia 1.4.1 According to Celestia Help, yaw can be controled by engaging the Number Lock, and pressing the number keys 4 or 6. But doing this has no effect at all. Nothing happens. Turning off the Number Lock and pressing th...
