Re: Simulation method

My mistake - error for R-K is of the order of h^(R-K level + 1).

Re: Simulation method

I'm using the R-K technique as of yet. It can be reasonably computationally intensive, but like anything you get what you pay for - error is of the order of the R-K level IIRC. I don't know much about the Stoer-Burlisch method, but from what I've heard it's a trapezoid rule with extrapolation, with ...

Re: Simulation method

I'm working on a project that would do generic simulation of unsteady systems - essentially it is works, but I need to package it.

If this is still something you need, I can dop back in later (a month or so) and post the details. I'm going to wait until after my finals to complete it... 8)

Planetary Data

At the moment I'm doing a Physics project, and part of it requires data on the positions (ideally in x, y, z co-ords) of planets/the sun at given points in time.

Does anyone know where I could find such data? I've trawled the NASA site, but so far to no avail.

OpenGL, et al.

Hi everybody, newbie here. I'm developing a simulator (it started as one of those "wouldn't it be intersting if..." projects :P ) which is in some ways similar to Celestia, although looking at the area from a different aspect (oorbital mechanics, rather than rendering and display). Not a good openin...
