Re: Inverting background and making schemes?
being able to freely choose the background color in celestia would be a *very* useful thing. adding one feature would spare many users repeatedly doing de-black-backgrounding work... of course one can work around a black background in image manipulators, but -- as soon as you have more complex and f...

smooth camera movement? no stop after go-cmd?
hello everybody has anyone managed to get the camera move smooth on complex paths? for example: if i would like to go from earth to saturn and swing directly from the go into an orbit that gently moves slower. is that possible? i can think of a workaround by defining the flight path with an xyz-file...

Feature Request: Rendering two-sided, elliptical cloud layer
hello i have been working on a very complex mesh model, that tells the story of a utopic transformation of the earth: http://www.waldvogel.com/download/globus-cassus_celestia.jpg one would live on the inside, therefore clouds would be visible from the inside. i have encountered the problem, that a c...

Re: replacing the earth
hi selden in my early celestiadays, you suggested "modify" to replace the earth: You just have to create an SSC file containing the single line Modify "Earth" "Sol" { Mesh "name-of-mesh.3ds" } . can i use "modify" in conjunction with "beginning" and "ending" t...

texture memory management question
hi everybody who's deep into coding! i'm working on a quite complex presentation with celestia, where alot of objects and different textures are used. hence management of texture memory is a perfomance issue. so my question is: if a (perhaps preloaded) texture becomes unnecessary because an object h...

replacing the earth
hi everyone
i am trying to replace the earth by a construct that i have designed. adding a 3d model and scripting it so it takes over the properties of the earth seems straightforward. but how can i, first of all, remove earth from my celestia?
answers are greatly appreciated, best -blueberry
