Re: ESA uses Celestia

Hi,

the links to the hi-res JPG images never worked.
Did anyone get feedback from e-mail conversation?

Re: Usage of stars.dat outside Celestia

Are you using the original stars.dat that comes with the program? If yes then you might think of using the 50mb stars.dat add-on - a LOT more stars, hehe.

Can't tell you anything about the credits stuff, though. :(

Re: ESA uses Celestia

Sadly they are not giving a link to the Celestia site - would be THE promotion.
Furthermore they could offer the orbits for download and a small guide on how to experience the current happenings around Mars for oneself - using Celestia.
Hell, someone mail them and get some info

Re: Location Files -- Size/Importance Definitions

How many locations are stored in the UN ECE file?

Re: Nebulae in 1.2.6

Talking about deep sky objects..

Is anybody interested in creating a little galaxy update through the data available from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey?

Here you can get a tool that shows the impressive structure of about 131,000 galaxies. Imagine Celestia would include them
