Re: vla radio telescope v2 progress
The support structure is implemented using "cubes" -- each strut is composed of a single rectangular solid with only 8 vertices. Hi Selden, You might want to consider using "cubes" with a triangular section (ie. 6 vertices) for many of the finer struts on the rear of your dish. ...

Thanks for the feedback guys...4th attempt worked a charm. Just like in life, things come and go on the web. If you see something you like, download it and keep it on your hard disk if you're worried that it'll disappear. Re: Moon Rock Question
Basically, I want to do a heist story - with the heist involving moon rocks. Since NCIS investigates crimes involving Navy personnel, I'm looking for possible connections between Navy guys and moon rocks. If this was the Air Force investigative services, the TV guide logline could be as simple as "...

4 votes out of about 400 views. That's at least as good as the turnout for the US presidential elections, so it must be time for the answer! Malenfant, Great photo! I take it that's an actual spacecraft photo. Is this a recent shot from Cassini? Looks like a Solar eclipse by one of Saturns moons to me, with another moon nearby. Do you know which objects were involved and the spacecraft and date of the photo? PS. Notwithstanding my monike...

Re: Yep. T-shirt sale funded private space program...
More like the "edge of space" rather than orbit. I was referring to the "Airship to orbit" banner they show on their homepage, hence the smiley. They talk about flying an enormous airship to orbit from a sort of aeroport in the upper atmosphere via some sort of electric propulsion... It look...

This is more like upper atmosphere, , don't you think?
To get to orbit, you need to be doing something like 28,000 km/h don't ya?
I somehow doubt their balloons are rated for those kinds of speeds.

In support of conspiracy theories... ;-)
There are numerous conspiracy theories about the moon landing being faked in a soundstage etc, etc. Who's not seen the movie Capricorn One? (faked Mars mission) Regardless of whether you believe the theories or not, this image shows that NASA is not above a little clever fakery. Check for artifacts ...
