Re: Celestia v1.6 - Available ??? / Where ???

Thanks to everyone who has replied in ultra-quick fashion and supplied helpful information. I'm looking forward to implementing the suggestions and getting things working when I return to my home machine later today. The new Mercury models look to be outstanding.

Again, thanks to all.

Celestia v1.6 - Available ??? / Where ???

Stupid question time. Been away for quite a while; I see many talking about Cel. 1.6 this and Cel. 1.6 that. I'm still moving stuff from v1.4 to v 1.5.1. Downloaded the new Mercury models (Freedom 7 and Friendship 7 courtesy of James Bassett and ElChristou) and can't get them to show up in v1.5.1. D...

Re: Apollo 11 mission reconstruction - a teamwork

Linuxm@n has contributed some outstanding addons representing the Russian space program (I am eagerly anticipating the new N1 pack). Regarding the U.S. program, we already have a wonderful Mercury capsule, and with this, current, project we will have some great Apollo hardware. In my humble opinion,...

Re: Apollo 11 mission reconstruction - a teamwork

Not easy but coming well... I'm sure that it is not easy. But you guys make it LOOK easy. I'm really looking forward to having such a nice 3D model. Thanks for showing us these work-in-progress shots; I myself am unskilled in such construction but somehow I derive some vicarious enjoyment seeing it...

....it would be cool to find some more hires doc of the Saturn, specialy the 3rd stage and specialy the 3rd's stage engine... How about this one - not during assembly; rather during the Apollo 7 mission, in which the crew simulated the transposition and docking exercise. The round, white disc inside ...

YES, there is much interest (from here, anyway) in having both.
The more stuff you make, the better my Celestia is.
THANK YOU for everything you are contributing.
Now, get back to work ( )

Re: Interior of the planets

This is a WONDERFUL add-on.

Can I ask, which surface textures for Earth are used here? I don't have any that show such nice bathymetry.

Thanks for all your work,

Re: New model for Celestia in construction (DOWNLOAD link)

This series of models that you have kindly provided makes a great collection. Many thanks. The idea of shuttles with which to travel to-and-from Mars makes good sense, and would be a welcome addition. Are you still planning on making the variation suggested on page 6 of this thread (the spherical "r...

Re: New model for Celestia in construction (DOWNLOAD link)

The "lite" version (same parameters as I listed above for the "heavy" version) gives me 42.5 FPS.

The new craft (the bit inspired by 2001) looks wonderful.

THANKS again.
